    VRO rebuild???

    1993 175HP Faststrike
    model # E175GLETG

I have noticed the last couple of trips my engine is smoking more than usual at idle, it has always smoked a little upon initial start up, but would clear up within a few minutes. Now it isn't clearing up and seems to be smoking little more than usual. Is it possible the VRO is sending too much oil? Any advise or directions is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

The VRO can pump to much oil if there is an air leak on the fuel suction side. Starting at the engine side, Check for loose hoses / clamps between the pump and the fuel tank. Air in the fuel line will cause rapid cycling of the vro which causes excessive pumping of oil.

Thank you, I will check the hoses.
