    What Prop on a 2021 Nitro Z21

I got my new Nitro Z21 with a 250 Merc and the first week with a light load....very light I hit 70-71 with my Fury 3 blade 23p. Tournament load fill tank and loaded up I was lucky to hit 62...I am so confused...any suggestions? I did notice that my best speed was when my jackplate was all the way lowered (maxed out)

Many guys running tournament loads in a Z21 are using a 24p Fury 4b.

23p Fury is hard to beat, but 10mph drop with a load means something is wrong. I would also suggest trying another prop if possible in the same pitch.

Would think a 24p Fury would be too much prop.

got analyze what is happening, are you getting no lift? High rooster tail? RPMs and speeds would help also.

Yeah I thought this was your 3rd or 4th year running the Z21 and your 3rd four stroke? Wonder what’s up

My first guess is your not getting full throttle for whatever various reason.

Yes I will look into the full throttle issue first....I been running a 23 fury or 24 4 blade fury and never seen this slow of a boat.

I folded a blade off my 24 4 blade fury last week. It was off my last boat and several years old. Sticking with the 3 blade I guess

I tried the 24 4 blade today and hit 68 so I am sending my 23 fury to Marks to get it cupped and blueprinted properly. I think it was just a bad prop

I’d ditch the crap fury and get a bravo. Only time I feel a fury is better is speed with a light load. Even then I always preferred my tempest. My opinion is based on the 2s not the 4s

Funny every boat and prop is different, my past boats with Fury's I would agree. This current boat the fury 3 seems to lift, and carry the load very well.

Gotta try some different props to figure it out always.
