    Lowrance Elite Ti2 Fish Finder/Chartplotter

    Lowrance Elite Ti2 Fish Finder/Chartplotter
How are these units? The 9" and 12" units are on clearance right now. Is it worth the money? How do the units perform?
Seems like a bargain. Thanks for any info.

If you're not worried about networking or Active Target then the Ti2's are probably the best bang for the buck right now with then being half price. I recently swapped out a pair if 9" Ti's for a pair of 12" Ti2's on my console. Sold the 9's for $500 each so it only cost me a grand to upgrade.

Like said above if you do not want/need livescope and are only going to run 2 graphs you can not beat the price of the TI2's right now.

Guys, LiveScope is a product from a competitor company. Lowrance units run LiveSight and Active Target. New users can get quite confused when we don't use the correct terminology. I've seen big arguments arise due to inaccurate product descriptions!

For the OP, there is nothing wrong with Ti2 units as long as you understand their limitations. You can not add more units as they will only network between each other and you likely will get no more updates or support. At 1/2 price they are a great deal though.

Where do you see the 9s on sale? BPS has them on clearance but they are sold out.

I just ordered a elite 12 ti2 from Cabelas for $999. Limited online stock though, i've checked back every day for 3 or 4 days to catch them in stock. For my needs, the Ti2 will exceed my abilities for a long time.

I bought two of the 12" Elite Ti2's. One to replace the bow unit which was a 7" HDS Gen2 and one to complement the same on the dash. The bow unit is hooked up and working but need some professional assistance on the console. The leftover 7" on the console will be on a RAM mount and will be the GPS/fast moving unit. The price on the new units was one I could not pass up. Active Target looks nice and may be put in soon but still above my pay grade for now.

I bought a 12" Ti2 for the bow for $999, would have liked to have snagged one of the 9 inch for the console when they were on sale for $599 but missed it. Now the best I can find is $799. The 12 inch would be too big there for my boat I think. I'll keep using the Humminbird 987 CSI at the console for now. A precision sonar mount showed up today to put the SI transducer on my Ultrex, but haven't gotten the boat out of Winter storage yet to do the installations.

I have the 9" and 12" TI2. I recently purchased the new FS. The images are sharper an have a little more detail on the FS compared to the Ti2.
