    BASSMASTER magazine errors lately

Seems like there are more and more errors coming with each issue of BASSMASTER. I guess Lake Huron has been renamed Hudson Lake, according to Steve Quinn's article which starts on p. 56 of the April 2021 issue. There are several other geographical mistakes in the article/artwork/map.
On p. 51, they got the wrong photo of Scott Canterbury's buzzbait. According to Curt, of Dirty Jigs, he and Wes Logan are wondering how in the world the photo got botched!
I still LOVE my BASSSMASTER, and their fine outdoor writing staff. It's the best.

Print media is dead. Just a matter of time until they realize it.

I work in print media (outdoor magazine). The advertising revenue is down, sure, but subscriptions are growing.

I sure enjoyed those two that was some funny stuff. I used to know a couple of guys that fished Team Tournaments one was named Harry so always called them Harry and Charlie.

I don’t think they thought it was as funny as I did but never said anything about it. Maybe they didn’t read Bassmaster Magazine.

It’s not what it used to be but not dead. I think I read where there was an increase of magazine subscriptions last year and new magazines.

Before I retired I needed to hire a CNC Machinist for the shop.I placed an ad in the Bristol newspaper in Bristol Tn. ( biggest in the area ). In the ad I ask for 5 years experience for the position. When the ad came out in the paper it read 500 years experience ! (would have been a darn good machinist) I called the paper and was told they did not proof read want ads, and no they would not correct the mistake in the ad. even though it was to run Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Cost was $140.00 !
God honest truth. I won't forget if I live to be 100. A newspaper that does not proofread !!!

It is JMO but the internet has led to a limited range and lack of depth of reading. I love Bassmaster Magazine.

With all the page layout programs and spell check, no one proof reads anymore. Problem is, spell check can fix spelling errors, but not wrong word errors.

It's not jut printed media....I see it all the time online......

Spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, incorrect tense/pluralization, wrong pictures, wrong names/data, just plain wrong............many times it seems like someone used a voice to text program and it got it wrong....kinda like auto-correct does.......
