Thank you.
I read this and the LSS/SS3D article as well.
I have all of the transducers LSS-1,LSS-2,SS3D,Total Scan, 2-1 and 3-1 available to install on my boat.
But was wondering which one will be the BEST to install. I have a PDRT-WBL in the hull so that I can have 2D while running on pad.
The problem is that "best" is a subjective term on this mather. :)
Personally I prefer SS 3D, but I fish in deeper water than the typical bass-guys, and in saltwater (where SS 3D is better than AI regardless of range). For the shallow-water guys it is a close cut between AI and SS 3D. AI is better at short range (which is what you typically use in shallow water), both beacuse it has less compression of the image and because it works better at lower speed versus SS 3D. SS 3D is better the longer range you run, so for guys scanning long range (typically looking more for structure than actual single fish) SS 3D is the ticket.
Hey Team, which software version are running on your 3D? Thanks

Thanks TC,
same here. (18.3.61.1.123). Appreciate your response....
Best and least problematic - 18.2-60.1.142
Hey thanks! Do you feel that the .142 shows fish better? I'd really like to know your thoughts on better in what ways. Thank you.
Hello. I like the way the .142 makes the fish stand out, good contrast. 18.3.61.1.123 is slightly overexposed.
19.1-62.1.108 also shows fish well, but on this version of the software, horizontal black bars occasionally appear on the screen. Subsequent updates are not very impressive, yet .142 is a simple and reliable version.
