    Phoenix compared to stratos 294

I've been wanting an 819 or 919 and have a lot of experience in an 819, but can anyone compare to a stratos 294? I just can't find any good used phoenix rigs and I'm looking at a 2017 294 evo with yamaha SHO. Dealer wants 35,800 with lowrance ghost and some 9" graphs. Nothing fancy, but clean boat with low hours. If you have experience is it comparable to the 819/919 size wise?

No experience with the Stratos but I do have a 819. Stratos beam 91 VS 819 96 beam. Also Phoenix 19ft 8 Vs Stratos 19 ft 6. I imagine the Phoenix would feel bigger

That Stratos is a smaller boat but it will run with the 21 footers with 250 hp motors. Very fast and fun boat to drive! 72-78 top speed. The Phoenix will fish better.

I have driven both. A friend has a Stratos 294. To me the difference is the ride. The Stratos has a good ride but I think the Phoenix has a softer ride in rough water. Both are 70 mph (+- a couple of mph) boats. To me it is personal preference. Can't go wrong with either one.

Can’t go wrong....very similar boats. I echo the comments above.

I owned both. The phoenix ride and speed are better but you have to drive the 919. I loved my 294 but this 919 is an upgrade. The 919 takes rough water great.
