Hello, does anyone know if John Martin is making jigs on the side anymore? I know True South merged with BizzBaits. BizzBaits just isnt the same... plus hardly any jig colors are offered and no brush jigs after the merger. I feel like a heroin addict trying to reach my dealer. I need the good stuff!

The colors are hard to find. Might wanna reach out and ask John the color combos and make your skirts. After that you can buy some Boss jig heads and make your own. We are very partial to Shooter jigs around here but since they are hard to find now katch her lures jigs makes a nice jig with a 4/0 hook that doesn't get hung on piers.Originally Posted by chums1980

I just received a big order from them, jigs are still nice but the color options have really changed unfortunately.
Was wondering about that statement too. Bizz Baits are fantastic.

I sure hope John starts making some of the colors he used to have. IMHO, he gave up a lot of good products when he merged with Bizz baits.

exactly! I'm so glad I bought a whole lot before he merged. I'll be able to take a few to other jig makers I know to try to replicate it if I have to. Damn I loved True South and John was a great guy to deal with. I was kind of late in the game to discover them and people that fished with me around southern Illinois and western Kentucky were starting to get turned on to them right before the merger. Sad deal.

I like BizzBaits, but now can't get the TS jigs in the colors I want.
Hoping Brian expands the jig line up to what it was.
Started bass fishing about 33 years ago and the only common denominator I have found is you can't buy confidence in a lure and as soon as you get hooked on a good product it either gets discontinued or goes out of business. Have learned to overstock on anything that works for me.
John explained to me he had dozens of colors, many of them being very close. They decided to trim it down to something manageable while they worked though the TS/Bizz merge. I would suggest dropping them a email asking for a color back. If they get enough response I'm sure they'd take that to heed. GL!
