Is there room for another 20' aluminum bass boat?

I see Excel Boats plans to release a 20' aluminum bass boat, pad hull with a 200hp max rating, pointy bow like a glass boat. I think the pointy bow will be a deal breaker since so many have adopted the wider jon boat bow like the Ranger aluminum and most all other brands have.

That's kind of like asking if there's room for another 20' fiberglass bass boat. New ones keep coming out, even though they've been around for years.
    2016 Ranger RT188, Yamaha 115 sho, dual console, 80# Ultrex, hotfoot, networked HB Solix 10 & Helix 9, Mega 360. Powertech NRS3 18p, Atlas 4" jack plate.

Does it make it feasible for Excel to enter the market? Their top of the line aluminum boats aren't Johnny Morris priced, more like Vexus.

What prices did you see, with the 200XS? I saw one on Boat Trader around $36K (by owner). So that puts the new price around $42K? In comparison I see New RT198P with the 150XS priced at $39K.
I wish my boat had slightly more of a vee, just to handle the rough water conditions. But you can't have it all in one boat!

excel's new facility in west tn is only about an hour and a half from me. i'm hoping i can take a tour of it this summer.

i'd like to see them do a bass boat version of their 183 bay boat. i dont really need a 20' boat with a 200hp

The new Excel isn't on the market yet making it impossible to see a used boat at this point.

The Brains behind excel was Tim Scott. He is now building Havoc boats. Havoc should have new hulls out soon
