I’m guessing eveyone is just being cautious as the last update bricked some modules
I loaded it, but haven't had the boat on the water since.
Just loaded it, should be able to check it out tomorrow.

Tried mine out today. Had an issue with the down and side scan stoping and starting about every 10 second. Does anyone know if there is a way to reset the module? If not I’m gonna go ahead and rollback the update.
I updated my SS3D on Saturday and all was fine with both Carbon 12's. Since my lake is in the spawn I didn't do much Side/Down imaging but it seems fine so far. Lake was pretty muddy so lots of particles in the water column. I will update in 2 or 3 weeks when they start to school up offshore.
Didn’t take the boat out. Heading to Clear Lake on Tuesday and will check it out

I’m familiar with how to update. Just wondering if there is a manual way to reset the ss3d box. I’ve disconnected it several times and reset my unit and it still is not working properly after the update.
Reinstall the software again. Download it directly to a SD card with your computer (not using the HDS WIFI). Assuming you did a hard reset after discovering you had a problem?

Did you leave your wireless network on? Not sure about SS3D but if Live Sight or Live Target is being used and the wireless network is on it will freeze and blank screen for a second or two and then resume. It could be the same issue.

No wireless network is off. Updated from a card.I’m gonna give it one more try this afternoon then I’m going to roll it back.this is ridiculous. Can’t lowrance check this stuff before they put out an update?
Was able to check the new 3D software out today at Clear Lake. All looked good. Didn't really use DS but Sidescan was great, as always. Can't really tell what if anything was changed. I did notice the stopping and starting. Lasted about 10 seconds and then would start scrolling again. Here are some screenshots. The fish are probably carp based on where I was. Fishing was good. Caught 12, best 5 went 18+.

Thanx for posting your pics nocal .Was your side scan starting and stopping the whole time while in use?l
That’s what mine was doing. Tried multiple fixes nothing worked so I rolled it back now it works fine.
Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll wait as a 20.2 for HDS should come along soon based on past releases.
