First fish on the 8in MagDraft!

First trip of the season back up into Vermont didn't go to plan, but it was still a great day. Went up looking for smallmouth, only to find the 2,000+ acre lake had heated up 7 degrees in six days since my buddy was last there. Smallmouth were nowhere to be found, so I decided to switch gears and swing for the fences for a bit on largemouth. Busted out a glide bait and worked it along one particularly good looking area, and saw a giant track it right back to the boat, but I couldn't get her to commit. Threw down a hair jig just for good measure, but she was gone. So I threw the 8" MagDraft right back down the same exact line I just worked with the glide, and got a nice 3-3/4 largemouth on it. Would have preferred the other fish that was easily twice as big, but I'll take what I can get.

The big bait bite has got me BAD. I'll get a few in the boat then switch to a mondo sized bait looking for a giant.
