    RIP Slick

Coach, announcer and player Bobby Leonard has passed away. "BOOM Baby" will forever be ingrained in my soul.

He was the Pacers. I’m not sure anybody but Red Auerbach or George Halas (and that is not an exaggeration) had the kind of impact on a franchise that he had. The Pacers wouldn’t exist without Slick.

He was definitely an Icon. He was the coach that made the Pacers fun to watch.

Bobby Leonard WAS/IS the Pacers! A great coach and personality, his "BOOM BABY!" was the voice of the Pacers for years. Although I was never a rabid fan of pro basketball, Bobby made it fun, entertaining, and the man truly knows basketball. His announcing, coupled with Reggie's shooting, was by far the most entertaining show in sports.
RIP Coach Leonard...We're all lucky to have witnessed your greatness on and off the court.

Uttered one of my favorite sports broadcaster quotes of all time. He and the play by play guy were talking about pure shooters and the play by play guys said something about Danny Ange being the best of all time and Slick barks back "Danny Ange couldn't carry Bill Kellers jockstrap"

    Gods Speed Slick.

    We've lost a gem
