    99 191 DC and 25P tempest Plus

I finally got a 25P tempest plus to run on my boat, it was a used prop. The prop came with no PVS plugs in it. I was wondering where a good place to start with the plugs. The boat has 05 Mercury 200 3.0L. Also my prop to pad height is 3".

    Thanks Shawn

Start with all the plugs out. If the prop blows out during the hole shot, plug 1 hole. If it still blows, plug another. If you get all 3 plugged and you still blow out, you need more prop. Now, that's the easy way. There are also 2 different sizes of reducers, so you can go through this using the large reducers first, the swap one at a time for the smaller then with the solid plugs. I had a 93 200 EFI on a 201 and ran all 3 holes open.

3" PTP seems high for a 3 blade Tempest.

Agree, might want to start a half inch or so lower.

Scooke, if that Tempest doesn't work out for you, I'd be happy to discuss taking it off your hands.

It will be a couple of weeks before I give it a try, I will keep that in mind if it doesn't work.
