This is my experiance on all the boats I've owned. If you want easy driving, and control go with a 4 blade in "most" applications. If you want the best top speed go with a 3 blade..
Yes sir this works 99.9% of the time with one exception. The old trophy four blade did a pretty good job if the blades were worked right, i had one that was right there with a tempest especially carrying a heavy load.
Has anyone tried the Revolution 4 XP prop? I heard someone say Earl Bentz recommended it for this hull. It comes in 1/2" pitch increments as well. I wish I could get my hands on one.

I have know Earl since the Hydra Sports days, I would be very surprised if he recommended a four blade for any bass boat he builds, not saying he didn’t just saying I would be very surprised!
