The adhesive backed rubber strips have have worn off the aluminum hold downs and know longer are isolating themselves from the tank. Concerned this will rub a hole in the tank. Any thoughts what others are using? Thanx

My boat is pretty much in the same situation. I've thought about loosening the straps and putting something between the strap and the tank although I think it would be pretty difficult for the strap to wear a hole in the tank. No reason to take chances though!
