    Trailer plug wiring!

    I’d replace it, but if the wires aren’t damaged some self-fusing tape would seal it up.
    If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.​

    That pigtail just unplugs. You should be able to get a replacement from any automotive store

    Wow, can't say that I have. I would replace and then fix this one for an emergency spare.

    Sun damage breaking down the covering I would guess. I would replace it.

    Looks like the wire covering has exceeded its service life.

    I would get some of the nylon spiral wire wrap, it will last a few years until the sunlight starts to break it down.

    UV damage, mine is like that right now. Still works. I imagine that is an off-the-shelf harness that has a plug on one end. I know mine is shoved up inside the front tube of my MarineMaster trailer.

    Get some of the 3/8" dia. split mesh weave wire loom to put on the new cord to keep the sun off it.
