PP, Have 8', Thinking of going 10'

Who's done this and regrets moving to the 10's?

    Pro's and Con's?

8's function fine, but find myself too often a tad deep that they don't grab so thinking of going to 10's.

So do the 10's wear out quicker or bite any less harder on the bottom than the 8's because of the length? Have had Talons for 9 years and am considering making the switch to 10' blades.

The pump used for 8' Blades is not the same as the 10' Blades.

customers say the tens have a little more flex then the 8s and as rich stated above the 10s have a different pump then the 8s as far as hold thats a hard call. some may say the hold is not as good with a 10 as with a 8 as they are feeeling the little bit more flex in the larger pole and associating that with less of a hold however both hold very well. 10s seem to experience bushing wear a little faster ( from what we have seen) however on the new stern bracket design this was def improved. Both the 8 foot blade and the 10 foot share the same new stern bracket design. with the evolution of spotlock we see more customers shying away from the deeper poles as a shallow water anchor is just for that... shallow water.
