RT 188 fish finder mount at console

I have a rt188 with a solix 10 on the console. I'm 5' 10" and can't see the finder without moving up forward 6" on the seat what kind of mount can and should use to see the finder. The moving up 6" really just sucks. I'm thinking I still want it mounted to console face just higher. Thanks in advance.

What is causing you not to be able to see it?

Is the steering wheel in the way or is it the angle of the screen?

I am happy with the Precision Sonar mount.

Both the steering wheel and the angle of the face of the fish finder. Looking at the picture below by of how Mr. Reynolds mounted his finder will probably be what I need. thx

I highly recommend a Bass Boat Technologies mount. I love mine! It is rock solid and looks great.

Dek-it Mounts make a mount very similar to this one. I have had one on my Triton 18TX for years.
it’s a solid mount and was less than $100.00 when I bought mine.

My buddy just got done making a new 3" wheel spacer for me and now I have even more room. I bought the aluminum and he turned it for me and powdercoated it. What I really like about it is he was able to recess it so I can put my Ranger center cap on, which I couldn't do with the spacer I had bought from Precision Sonar.

    Very nice!

I hope the 3" spacer I ordered from BBT will give me some more leg room as well as clear the Helix 10 when I move it behind the steering wheel.

Here's mine with single BBT mount and then another when I added a dual BBT mount (both with spacer).

I just recently installed a Garmin UHD 93SV. I mean yesterday. As you know the 178's don't have alot of clearance between steering wheel and dash. My solution I took a black cutting board I bought at Walmart($9) starboard is expensive and cut it to size between the gauges and attached it with 5 screws and then bolted a DekIt($89) dash mount to it.
The cutting board allowed the mount to sit up high enough to clear the gauges. This was alot cheaper than $90 spacer and $300 mount. Hope this gives you guys some help.

the Bass Pro shops lockdown dash mount looks pretty decent for $40, not to be confused with the superlight mount for the same price
