    188 VS set up issues

    2006 188VS
    2021 200
    pro xs ( dont wanna hear it)
    6" atlas jack plate
    2 power poles
    Porpoise on slow down.
    23 tempest blow out on crest over
    Going up on plane.. not a terrible hole shot..blows out sometimes on plane..motor will not go above
    4300 RPM..will not go faster then
    45 mph..
    7.6 hrs of 10 on break in
    Input / suggestions/ dont be a
    Dick head .

    My 178 porpoised like crazy. Really had to drive it.

    Your RPMs are odd. You should be spinning the heck out of a 23P. I did on the 178 with a 150. Hotfoot? Have you checked to make sure you're getting full throttle? I know it's talked about a lot, but I had issues with that on my first bass boat with one.

    Yes I'm thinking I may not be getting WOT with hot foot..I would also think I would be crushing the 23p..and have to move up to 24p 4 blade or even 25p.
    But not being able to get a above 4300 rpm..has me second guessing everything

    You are either not getting full throttle or have a dead cylinder. I would start with the throttle.
