    Idle speed steering too sensitive

picked up a 2019 rt198p with an atlas jack plate and power poles. This is my first aluminum boat so maybe this is normal. When I am idleing around I feel like I am constantly steering to keep it straight. My old fiberglass boat would just go straight. Last time I was out the wind was about 8-10mph. If this is normal I will get used to it. Just checking to see what other experience is like.

Fairly normal with a pad hull aluminium I think. Idle a bit faster for more control and don't over steer.

I have lots of experience through my past work,
pulling up to docks and boats. My last work boat
was an outboard w/hydraulic steering, and no handling
    issues.
My current fishing boat has hydraulic steering, and at
a speed needed to put it on the trailer or pull up to a dock,
it feels like its on ice, w/no control. It's a very unnerving feeling
that I don't know how to handle. More speed here does not apply.
