    Coinbase direct listing

Coinbase will direct list on April 14. They just reported really impressive earnings and unlike many companies that come public, coinbase is really profitable.

Who's jumping in? I'm buying. Do you buy immediately on the open, a little throughout the day, wait a few days? The demand is going to be insane.

I wonder how many shares the current owners will sell?

Appears they will have 115 million class A shares. I don’t think all of these will be for sale.

Will they be selling blocks of stock each day? With a direct-listing, the owners of the shares are putting their stock for sale, correct?

Will they limit the number of available shares to drive up the price?

im torn on this one i think youre gonna see a slam jam run up on price but long term with crypto ebb and flow and their tendency to slowly add coins I see it slow bleeding to whatever its real numbers will be.

Will definitely buy some at the open and likely add to it later (later, here, being a very relative term).
This will be some serious fun.

Any 'guesses' on the opening share price?

I have heard over $400. I’m getting in as they already hold a lot of my money.

Reference price is $250, so my guess is that it opens at $500 to $600

    266.2 million shares outstanding

@ $376 per share we get a 100 billion market cap

100 billion? Largest IPO ever blown everything away by a mile on something that still has a chance to fail

A couple years ago, the market would have sold off in anticipation of a big IPO to raise cash to buy. I hate to buy $COIN with the market at all time highs and after they released that earnings report. That earnings report was really good, can it continue? Only time will tell.

Got my limit order in @ $260. Too uneasy about a market order.

I'm with you. Got a limit order at $250. My guess is it won't execute at that price. We'll see. Coinbase has some of the highest fees for buying crypto. Hope that changes soon.

When I pull up coinbase the spread is pretty tight. Usually only .01, sometimes it jumps to a few dollars. I don't know if its still this way, but when you are making the market, there isn't a fee. The commission was only charged if you slap the ask as a buyer or bid as a seller.

How long before they add an option chain to it? A month or so?
