2008 250 hpdi teleflex trim gauge not working

Sender checks very close to spec when checking resistance and the bracket has the new metal tab so that's not the problem either. Gauge reads full up all the time and moves slightly up when you turn the key on, but thats it. Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance

Is the Teleflex gauge made to be fit to a Yamaha sender? If not, the readings will erroneous.

But it sounds to me like the gauge may not be connected to the motor. A wiring issue in the boat.

Original gauge that came with boat, and i did connect a jumper wire from pink wire on sender directly to gauge and grounded black wire to motor, but still nothing. May not be the correct way to do that ?

Might need to adjust cam on tube of motor.
