Should I remove in-line Water Separator on My Optimax?

I put a re-man Optimax 115 on my boat last year and it ran great. Brushing up on my de-winterizing protocol on here and I noticed Don saying in the fuel additives post that I don't need a water separator in my fuel line because there is already one in the VST. Fair enough. Question is should I remove it? It didn't seem to cause any fuel flow issues last year but if it is along term liability I will remove it from the system.

    Thanks in advance!

Additional filters can cause a potential fuel supply restriction. It is recommended that no additional filters be in the system.

If you DO decide to leave it in place, it must be changed REGULARLY (at least once per season).
