Fulton F2 jack stand not straight

On my new Skeeter trailer I notice then when I lower the jack stand down to stow my boat and trailer the jack stand is leaning toward the back of the boat a little. Is that normal?

If it's a swivel jack--- due to the design it will have some play.

For some reason, the F2 is particularly bad about this. Too much slop in the latching mechanism.

The jack on my trailer is probably the cheapest one made, and it sits upright and barely moves from there when moving the trailer around.

Thanks. It seems to be more straight if I could turn the wheel the other way but I have to push the boat back by hand about a foot and when I do the wheel swivels. I'm just worried there will be stress on the jack and I don't want it to break.

That's as bad as I've seen. No doubt it will cause premature wear and also make it harder to raise and lower.
I wonder if most the slop is from the swivel latch diameter vs the catch hole diameter ? If so you'd think they could just change the size of one or the other to tighten it up.
I'd have to do something about that if it was mine.

The F2 Jack is sloppy! I have one on my Skeeter trailer. I contacted Fulton about it and they sent me a new replacement. The new one was worse then the original. I guess that's just how they are...

Yes. This is on my brand new trailer. I called Fulton and sent pics but it seems unless you can lower the jack just right it will do this.
