recarpet 2006 Stratos 200 pro xl how to remove seat base

I have removed the seats and am trying to remove the base that the seats sit on in front of gas tank. I think I have all the scews out but it wont budge. Anything special or hidden brackets or attachements? Thanks for the help.

My 2003 stratos has 2screws that go fron the back of the seat to the panel. Did you get those 2 out?

I removed mine on my 2004 stratos. There are screws on top on sides and along the bottom. Once all screws are removed try and pry the seat base from the back deck then pry it up at the bottom. Not too bad to remove. While in there replace fuel line and antisiphon valve.

I just pulled mine off my stratos yesterday and there are two screws one on either side about 3” from the bend that are pretty hidden those are usually the culprit

Thanks I was able to get the top metal piece out. I took all the screws I could find around the outside edge. I will take another look and see if I missed any. I will post pic if I can not find. Appreciate it!

I confirmed that there were no hidden screws. I put a screwdriver under the base a lifted the edge all the way around. All it was was glue holding it in place. Took a little effort but it is out. Can't wait to finish up the carpet. Thanks Guys!
