I made my own using HPDE board, sometimes called puckboard. (High density polyethylene board) Fixing to make another one as it really needs a side to side angle too in order to really get the motor truly perpendicular on both planes.

I'm using an Ashmore also, works great. I don't have to stand at the back of the deck any longer when I'm dropping vertical. When I installed my Garmin unit and livescope, I put the wedge on, really makes a difference.

Only if your TM shaft is not perfectly vertical when deployed and you fish vertically while watching your bait like drop shotting or spooning. If you just fly down the bank chunking and winding, then probably won't help you any.

Seems insane that this is something you need to do after spending this much money on a new boat, it is bad enough that they made boat this way, but the fact they don't supply the wedge is also nutz

I have around $10 in mine.

I am probably more pleased with the 4 inch drop in motor height when stowed than I am with the true vertical deployment. It made visibility when driving better and the factory cover fit (until I added the Mega 360).

Here's the measurements of my "wedge", if it helps anyone...
