Clown color

Good morning and happy easter. What's the deal with this "clown" color. Rogues and long a's. I got a bunch but never catch anything on them. I remember a time years ago you couldn't even find a clown colored rogue they sold so quick.
What would be the situation where this color would be good.

For me it’s either dirtier water or, more commonly, smallmouth. There are times where smallmouth will just absolutely blast bright or obnoxious colors like that, even in super clear water. I’ve seen clown be the one they want on a given day, and it seems like that bright head gets them to key there so you’re hooking them good too.

Interested to hear others’ experience with it.

Same here, a color I only use for smallmouth. When it works, it works really well. I don't use it that much in super clear water but again, super clear where I live means you can see bottom in 30 feet of water. Maybe it doesn't mean the same for somebody else. Also, maybe I should be using it more.

Smallmouth Smallmouth Smallmouth! It is my go too jerkbait in most any brand. I fish really clean water with Clown Confidence.

The Smallmouth here like the clown colored jerkbaits, but they also report that they taste funny.

I still catch smallmouth and largemouth on clown colored Rogues, it's been one of my most consistent colors especially the floating version

Every Smallmouth is afraid of Clowns!....they just kill it.
