final rough floor finish for a soft spot replacdement...

I cut out the top fiberglass 'cap' of a 12"x12" area underneath my bass passenger floor area and about to closed-cell-foam refill it and put a new piece of replacement wood and then add the cut-off fiberglass cap back on, and do some fiberglass shell over top of the cut area

when they finish a rough area on a boat, they use some white substance that makes the finish white.

what is that material ? is it protective or just cosmetic ? my carpet will just go back over this area .. but i want to do it right.... fix what was broke but make it not jerry rigged

adtech p14 will work well. Can be used below waterline and since floor stays wet alot it'll work. Qt is about 30 bucks.
