    Texas fishing forum

Is there one Texas lake forum that's on the top of your list for bass? Thanks. Steve

    Not that I know of.
There's a Texas Fishing Forum--------Way to many drama queens for me. Many posts go south real quick and turn into a shit show. Lots of knowledgeable folks around but most are tight lipped about fishing reports. Many are down right hostile if someone gives a favorable report on line.

what he said is pretty accurate, but if you are headed down that way to a particular lake and and for general info, there are some that will PM you and give you some good info, to avoid the drama. Some will post the general info on the forum. You can do a search and a lot of times find out some of the info before you ask.

Thanks guys for the info. I'm trying to talk myself into going to Rayburn for 3-4 weeks next spring but I would also like to not have to fight the masses... Yeah I know, that's any oxymoron (Spring / tons of pressure)

You are correct. I just look at the bluegill forum and stay off the bass crap forum. The bluegill guys are really a nice bunch of people and will try to help you find those big colonies. I fish Fayette a lot and the bass boaters and a local guide have made bass fishing a challenge there. Im glad I carry a couple of ultra lites in my boat now.

Same stuff in the lounge and general topics happens on here as it does on the TFF. Many of the same guys too.

I visit it almost everyday, I have a good working filter though and can read things I disagree with and move on most of the time.

Some of us choose to stay away from lounges for obvious reasons..
Sadly on TFF theres not much control on the Bass Fishing page.. Even a legit question/help topic often turns into a slug fest.
I still read some topics. but seldom post.

I went there as a newbie seeking help on my first trip to Lake Fork. I did get some decent advice and was appreciative. A guy from the forum even took me out fishing one afternoon.

Problem with the TFF is most of those guys are from DFW...

2coolfishing and dosfrios is more Houston/Coast based.

I am a semi-fresh member of TFF and BBC, I like this forum much better.. the layout, the topics and the people.
I may log in once a week to see if anyone posted any good info/news on my local lakes (Belton, StillHouse, Waco)

Quite a few single-lake-only groups on Facebook.

I frequent both using same name on each forum...You need to use the forum as another source of information. There are a few on the site that can ruffle feathers, but I don't let them ruin my experience. I find TFF very informative on TX lakes. Heck many on there will provide details if you ask politely. Of course it's not going to be GPS coordinates, lures, etc...but I have been sent a PM or two with more than enough to start with.

Heck, I'm happy to provide as much as I can as well. What they are biting today isn't going to happen tomorrow.

Have at it boys and girls.
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!

There are far fewer Drama Queens on TFF than on many other forums!
