Thanks everyone. I probably bit the bullet on this boat because it had a Suzuki and that's hard to find on a used bassboat of any brand. But I've been a pheonix fan from day one when they only made the bee line. That was a super inexpensive boat new

Got one on a 625 Blazer. The Suzuki is a Great motor smooth. Plenty of power, low unit gears hurt it on top end. not a speed demon. If they ever change the lower unit gear ratio this motor would run upper 70s. IM running a 28 4 blade Suzuki prop. Light load 25 gallon fuel, no water 72 top end ,well be talking about these Suzuki props on the Suzuki form.

I hear if you put a Scorpio prop on you will gain top end speed and still have a great hole shot. Said to be night and day compared to a suzuki prop

+1, it got avena a few MPH on his bass cat by going to that. If you get a scorpion prop I would suggest starting down a pitch from normal. Those props have crazy lift on them. Buddy tried a few out on his SHO and he had to go down to a 24 to get similar performance to his 25 vmax prop

I have owned two of them, and like you said they are hard to prop (not a speed demon). The saltwater guys down here swear by Suzuki motors. I can say that they are super quite, reliable, and they get amazing fuel mileage.

That’s a awesome boat hopefully I’ll be able to find something like that next year with a Suzuki or Honda.
