I see this thread is for a "failed kepad"
If one's keypad is fine and you want a key switch back-up ...... is that the correct ignition switch 893449T01 ?

I am going to guess once the key switch is plugged in ...... the keypad does not work (?)

I ordered the keyed switch from PartsVu.com for $51.82. Pulled off the connector on the back of the Start button, installed the keyed switch and motor fires right up!

Too easy and a great find, well done!

When using the key switch do I still need to go through the 'wakeup' sequence for the gauges to work> I have the switch on order but have not received it yet.

Is video still available? I am not seeing it. ‘

’21 Z521L and keypad is not working. Wish I read this thread before this happened. Hoping to get this kit tomorrow so video on how to use would really help.

The video has been removed, either by the original poster or by the hosting service that he uses. The written instructions on how to identify the correct receptacle for the auxiliary key switch remain. If you purchase the key switch from a Ranger dealer, ask them to take a minute and show you how to install.
