    Solix Touch Screen

    I went fishing yesterday and out of nowhere, my Solix touch screen wouldn't work. The touch screen is "enabled". I rebooted several times, I removed the power to the unit and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?? The unit is less than a year old.

    Some Gen 2 solix have had touch problems. Call HB while it is still under warranty
    Tell me where has a slow movin' once quick draw outlaw got to go

    All the things you mentioned are what I would have tried. Nothing else I can come up with besides possible HB return under warranty.

    I thought of one other thing. Have you checked your voltage to the unit? Low voltage will cause all kinds of strange issues with the Solix and it doesn't really have to be very low to cause issues.

    I have 10ga wire straight from the battery to the unit. I turned it on this morning and now it's working.....

    I would still call HB and get a record of the issue and who know they may have you send it in for replacement

    It's probably a dumb question, but is your screen clean?

    I know when rain drops dry on my screen or if it's dirty, sometimes the touch screen doesn't work.

    Old thread but I am now having the same issue after a search on here
    The touch screen is not working. Called HB and tried a few things, it went through a system memory check or something and started working. Now it has stopped again. Calling HB on Monday again.
    Any ideas?

    If it's intermittent, calling HB is probably the only option. Be aware that Mondays are their busiest days so using the callback feature on the main page in the Humminbird FishSmart app is your best bet.

    I just got my Solix 15 back from HB. The replaced the front portion of the unit due to touch screen issues. It was a fast turn around, so pleased. I would send it in if you can go without unit for 7-10 days.

    Update: sent unit into HB. Out of warranty by 4 months but they still are fixing it under warranty. Good email response from HB, they got my unit, will let you know how long the repair takes to get back to me. ICast this week, so I am guessing it will take a little longer to send back.

    I had to send mine back as well. They shipped me a new one back the next day after they received mine. Shipped on Monday, I had it back in the boat on Saturday. Super fast!!

    Mine gets back on track by simply turning off the touch screen then turning it back on.

    I sent my SOLIX 12 back 5 times and my SOLIX 15 back 4 times. They finally replaced the entire SOLIX 12. I did the video conference call with them. I had 13.1V at both units. I deleted all waypoints, restored defaults and rebooted. It would not work. I also upgraded to the latest software, but it was still an issue. I finally just traded in the 15 for a G3 15. I've no problems out of the G3. Works like a charm.

    I think HB customer service is second to none. They treat you right and will take care of you. Great products.
