Lightbulb ** New updates have been posted.....

Garmin has posted new updates on the software pages.

Looks like they added some new colors for Livescope.....that would be interesting to see.

What does it mean...by "Support for Bob's Machine Shop Jackplates" (I did not know they would talk to each other). Does that imply the jackplate needs to be wifi or bluetooth capable.

Mine is a 2011 and I suspect it does not have that ability but am curious to know what it means.

    Also

"improvements and bug and fixes" and "other livescope interface improvements".....any chance this is the long awaited fix for ghost tree and dead spot

Changes made from version 15.10 to 16.10:

    • Added message banner for easier route navigation with the Force Trolling Motor.
    • Added additional LiveScope color palettes.
    • Added Compress Range, Reverse Range, and other LiveScope user interface improvements.
    • Added support for Bob's Machine Shop Jackplates.
    • Other improvements and bug fixes.

Me. I’ll load it tonight and try it this weekend hopefully. I’m so used to being the bug and not the windshield that it doesn’t even hurt anymore .

Bob's has come up with a NMEA device to connect to the N2K network and display the jackplate height on your sonar unit. I do not know if or how it will work with older or newer jp's. I supposed you can call them to get the answers.

Would you mind showing us the new colors? I’m also curious about the compass range.

I suck at tech but I’m wondering if this compressed range is going to help the weak areas?

Thanks. I was not aware they offered such a device. I will give them a call.

Edit: Upon checking their website found this.....says it is for old and new. But no price was listed so maybe its not for sale yet.

By the sound of it I could limit what I see behind the transducer to say 5 or 10' and I would because there is no reason I care to see 20-30' behind me when fishing in 20' that compresses the screen a lot if I'm trying to look 60'
