After owning a backpack blower, its hard to go back to a handheld.

I liked them so much I bought 2.

Stihl BR800X & Redmax EBZ8550 Both are powerhouse blowers, when my son and I use them side by side, talk about moving a pile of leaves.......................I think the National Weather service issues Gale Warnings. LOL.

Milwaukee fuel is nice, if you already have 18v tools its cheap to buy. Has more cfm than my stihl that now collects dust.

I have both. The hand held is only for a few leaves. The RedMax does everything, even moves snow.

I've got an Echo backpack blower. Got it on sale or $300. It's been a good one. I've had it 8 years now and probably ran 200 gallons of fuel through it. I have a lot of leaves.

That is totally dependent on situation. If you have a large property electric simply does not work. My neighbor figured that out last summer, he has about and acre and got sick of running out of battery every time he mowed his lawn with his EGO push mower. Literally took him 3 days to mow his lawn every week. Then he got the leaf blower and chipping away an hour at a time before having to charge batteries he gave up and borrowed my stihl backpack so he could finish his lawn in a reasonable time. He now owns a shiny new tractor and a backpack blower, both gas.

I have more land than he does and i get a ton more leaves, for me there is no way i could do electric. I would exhaust batteries faster than i could charge them and i would need a pile of them so i could work for a reasonable period of time.

I have a Stihl BR660 backpack blower and it is great.

I bought my wife a EGO POWER+ 650 CFM Blower, 56V, and it is amazing!

Now if you have hours worth of leaves to blow then you will need an extra battery but the one 5 AH one will last a while.

Echo. I've switched to all echo equipment trimmers blowers etc.. start first pull everytime. Ran stihl for a while wasn't that impressed. I think people buy them to say hey look what I got without doing any research

I've had one for 10 years and am very happy with it, always starts with just a couple pulls.

I went with Ego for all my yard tools last year and will not go back to gas. Except for my mower. No electric is going to mow my yard on a single charge.

Go cordless. I have a Stihl BG85. The most powerful handheld they make. Just bought an Ego Power+ 650 CFM blower. It blows the Stihl away (pun intended). Liked it so much I bought an Ego weedeater. I’ll never go back to gas powered again. I still use a Husqvarna backpack blower for whole yard jobs like leaves or flowerbeds. But, it’s only for comfort for long periods. The Ego is no less as effective. And it’s instant start, holds a charge for days of repeated use, and recharges in under an hour.

Whats wrong with the Stihl? Normally it they sit, and the carb is needing attention.

Well I was asking because 20 years ago the Stihl could have changed and not be as good. I also have an Echo string trimmer and it is great.

This. Mine has been flawless. I use to to dry my vehicles several times a week and when it's not being used on them, it's in my enclosed mowing trailer getting used almost daily during mowing season.
