Lake Fork guides or rental advice??

I'm heading to Texas for the 1st time next week. Looks like I will have a day or 2 available for some fishing. Fork has always been on my bucket list. Any recommendations for a guide or somewhere to rent a boat??

Or is there someplace else that would be better. I will be in Desoto, and Laredo.

    Thanks!

    Mike

There are a few places on fork to rent a boat. I’ve never used them personally, so I can’t say if one is better than the other. This time of year it will be be very difficult to find a guide on this short notice, but you might try posting on social media and see if anyone has an opening. There are several lake fork specific Facebook groups that are fairly active.

We used these guys for a rental boat
    http://www.ets-systems.com/jjmarine/index.htm
They dropped it off at the water for us and picked it up once we were done.
Rented a 16' tracker style boat with a 40. Luckily we weren't going far from the ramp
I know they have bigger boats but these were budget friendly at the time

Just came from Fork. Rented a boat for 3 days from these guys:

    https://www.rickysboatrental.com/

Chris and Jackie were awesome to work with! They have 17' and 19' aluminum bass boats for rent. The 17' can be a wet ride on Fork depending on the day!

I called J&J marine (see above) and they said no more boat rentals. So I don't think they are renting anymore. I only found one place that would rent boats.

    Good luck!

I just came back from there. We had zach hughes. He was a great guide. Fishing was tough as it was windy all last week. But he put us on a pattern and we caught a few. A lot of sight fishing.

Didn't get to Fork, but fished a lake closer to us, like you said it was very windy and fishing was tough, we decided to chase some blue cats instead, and caught a few. I will definitely make it down here again to chase some bass!
