    New 250r on stroker

Does anyone know how these new motors fair on our Stroker’s? I currently have a 2001 225x short shaft and want to repower my boat.

With the 1.75 gears and the 6200 rev limit you’ll be running big props.
The 2 I like best is a Max 5 and promax

loaded heavy with 2 power poles I can turn a 32fs bravo to the limiter.

you better off going with the 300r

So far , I hate it. Just bought a 29 Max5 to try. If that doesn't fix it I'll be going back to a two stroke.

Won't hold the boat up in low speed turns, blows out. Losing water pressure crossing wakes, won't pick it back up. Does some funky stuff at about 40 when your coming up on the plate. It has an extremely small "sweet" spot for driving. The trim and Jack plate HAVE to be in the right spot or it just won't ride. And it doesn't do well with a passenger. I could go on.

    Stock or worked? What size?

I run a stock 30 pro Max and it doesn’t do near what yours is.

my 29.5 Max 5 handles great.

    good luck

Stock 29 ProMax. I get the being hard in the limiter part. That's expected. Hopefully this 29 max5st will fix the ills. Just need time to run it. The guy I'm fishing with right now has a Merc test motor on his Bullet so he has to keep the hours ticking. Hopefully I can get to run mine shortly
