Morels start popping up when the earth gets between 45 and 50 degrees. A few today an allot more coming after the rain the next 24 hours. Turkeys started gobbling a bit but were two weeks out on that.

Not that I have looked for them, but never recall seeing a morel in the woods. I am looking forward to trying to get my daughter her first Tom this year. With all the coyotes howling around here now, I have definitely noticed the birds seem less talkative on the ground over the past few years.
