    Skeg Repair

Hey guys, I have an 06 225 opti that had the skeg broke off and I’m looking for somewhere to weld a new one on. Where can I get it done? I’m in the flint area but would have no problem traveling a little bit. TIA

Maybe you have enough left to bolt on a skeg guard

There was one on there that the previous owner installed. Not sure if they messed something up or something else but it caused huge performance issues and porpoising when slowing down. Took it off and went from 58 to 63mph(z21 ranger) and no porpoising. My dad ended up finding someone who can weld a new one on. Thank youf

My brother-in-law had put a skeg guard on his Skeeter and started having porpoising issues at certain speeds, his had a small additional piece on the bottom of the skeg similar to the picture below, he cut the sides of that off and his porpoising issues went away, just a thought

Good to know! I was wondering if that had something to do with it.
