    Windy on Big Hill today

Fished a club tourney and the wind was terrible, steady wind at 25mph with gusts up to 40 made most areas unfishable. Muddy water and 48 degree temp did not help either. Yesterday 13 lbs won the ABA, today I won the club with 5lbs, different as night and day. Need more warm weather but less wind to let the shallow areas warm up good. One of our guys fished with a couple of broken ribs, I bet his last run back hurt.

Fished Winfield Saturday and caught a few. It was pretty windy, but not unfishable. Did manage to catch a couple 3s for the first fish of 2020. That was nice. But, yesterday would have been pretty bad!

You'll get used to it.... because you have to. lol
I grew up in KS but got the pleasure of living in Chattanooga for two years... I was so disappointed when we moved back to KS.
We loved everything about our time spent in TN.

Depends on where you move too. Despite what everyone thinks, the wind doesn't blow every day. It is just when it does, it sucks bad.

Well the wife is intent on Sedgwick Co. so there's that which is probably the last word. If it was up to me I'd be somewhere between Melvern and Big Hill. Just a hop and a skip to the Ozarks.

Yes, that would be much better and is just where I am at. It is 50 miles to Melvern and Big Hill for me and Grand, Stockton and Pomme are around a 2 hour drive. LOZ, Table Rock, Truman and Hudson are between 2.5 and 3 hours. Also several smaller lakes that are close, with one being less then 10 minutes from pulling out of my garage to the ramp.

Coffey Co is 27 miles, but I didn't go there last year even once.

I grew up in between Derby and Rose Hill. If I had to move back, I’d move back to Derby. Great little city south of Wichita.

Look at the crime rate in Sedgwick County before you decide. If you are not tied down on a location because of your job there are many good places in S E Kansas to live.
