Last weekend the temps were 52-58. They are moving to staging areas.
Lots of chocolate milk on the lower end today, Sunday March 21.
As I was coming back from Watts Bar yesterday and driving over the Hwy. 60 bridge, I was astounded at the mud flowing from the Hiwassee River. As far down the lake as you could see it was like a wall of brown (from the Hiwassee) vs. the lightly stained, flowing from the Tennessee River side. I've never seen that stark of a contrast. Fishing was awful for us today. I wish BASS, and everyone else, would remove Chick from their Top 10 lists. It is getting hammered 7 days a week currently. Trucks and trailers from everywhere in all the parking lots at the ramps.
2018 Pantera Classic with a 150 ProXS. Love it!
Thanks
Speaking of Watts Bar, how are conditions there. I have never fished it but have a club tourney in mid April. We are based out of Ky Lake but have never fished there. Thanks much.
Mid April on Watts Bar will be better than now. I can guarantee that.
What ramp are you using for your tourney?

Not sure on ramp yet, we have rented a couple houses across the dam off Hwy 304.
Can anyone provide some gps points of some bad stumps on chic? Not looking for fishing spots just stumps or obstructions that are known to tear boats up Thank you
With the water down as it is now the list of GPS locations would take a year or two to type. You have to realize that the lake is drawn down almost 6 feet and there are stumps and sand bars everywhere outside of the main river and creek channels. A good updated map for your depth finder is going to be best bet.
The last time I was there (Saturday, March 20), the ramp at the dam was undergoing repair and I am unsure of when it will be available. I have been going to Big Springs ramp. It is 10 minutes up the lake on the Decatur side. It has parking enough for a small club and an adequate tie up dock. It is a single lane ramp though. If you are going away from the dam, toward Decatur, turn left at the brown sign that says "Fooshee Recreation Area", go 3 or 4 miles and it will be on your left.
Thanks for the info Printman. Much appreciated.
Couldn't agree more with that last part Printman!
But never underestimate the level of mud the Hiwassee can belch out. Lol
