New jackplate prop to pad height

Hello and thanks to for all the good information provided here. I just picked boat up from shop today had 6inch jackplate installed and tachometer fixed. They set prop to pad height at 2.5 is this low enough? Probably won't make it to the water till Sunday nothing but rain here. I do not have a water pressure gauge.

You can't run that boat and motor high as a matter of fact 3.5 under might be too high for that combo. Javelins run low compared to other boats and older OMC motors run lower than Mercury motors do.
