New jackplate prop to pad height
Hello and thanks to for all the good information provided here. I just picked boat up from shop today had 6inch jackplate installed and tachometer fixed. They set prop to pad height at 2.5 is this low enough? Probably won't make it to the water till Sunday nothing but rain here. I do not have a water pressure gauge.
2000 Javelin Renegade 19 F/S
2000 Johnson 175
24 raker prop
57 WOT before jackplate and no idea rpm

No it needs to be 3.5 under to start.

And get a water pressure gauge,no way to know how high is too high without it.

You can't run that boat and motor high as a matter of fact 3.5 under might be too high for that combo. Javelins run low compared to other boats and older OMC motors run lower than Mercury motors do.
