I've only owned the Gen 2 version, and to this day, the Gen 2 is one of the BEST baitcasters ever made....JMHO
I ordered it, it was in stock and $100 off on Scheels website. I may have to review it myself!
A buddy and I each got one from Cabelas this winter for 150ish and have yet to use them due to ice on the lake. I have really enjoyed other similar (lower priced )Revo reels, stx, sx etc. All of these are built with same/similar parts as the Lews reels. I am excited to try this one out as well.
