Garmin 106sv ultra to 93sv plus network help!!!

I just installed a 106sv ultra on the console and 93sv plus on the bow. Ran the Garmin network cable and connected the two units.

Both units have user data sharing enabled.
Both units show up under marine network.

No waypoints share or update between the screens. This has to be something simple I am missing or maybe they are not compatible?

Any help with this please let me know I am lost.

Do you have a card in each one? If so, remove the card out of the “dumb” one if you will.

No cards in either one. I just installed them earlier today with nothing in them. Have not updated them yet either.

I am not sure I just got it in the mail today and installed it. Not sure where to even check the software version.

I'm pretty sure you have to have a card in one unit, I know you have to have a card to update the unit as well

Do you have them connected with a Ethernet cable or a NMEA 2000 cable?

Sounds like you are putting the cart in front of the horse. ;) You're going to need a card.

Just making sure you have it connected with a Ethernet network cable.
NMEA 2000 network cable will not share waypoints.

Cory, just curious why you went with the 93sv at the bow instead of the 106sv. i'm thinking of purchasing the same setup but was thinking of putting the 106sv at the bow as that is where I spend more time when fishing.

I had a 106 installed and net worked with my UHD 93sv. No problems, But I am going to get the 106 thats on sale so I will have a UHD 93sv to sell when I get the 106. I will throw in the power cable and 54 transducer with this , u can't have my live scope. Thats why I am putting the 106 on the bow
