    Falcon F195 setup

    Guys,

I just brought my new boat home. I'm in the process of breaking in the 1st 2 hours.

It appears that this boat will have to be driven. Seeing some chine walk.

    I've got a 200 pro xs.
    Manual jackplate.

Is the chine walking something I need learn to drive or is there a better setup.

    I feel it around 58 to 60mph

go up 1/4 inch increment and see what happens--maybe someone will post their ptp for reference also? watch water pressures and make sure motor is running at 6200 rpms also 4 low on most boats but 1/4 or so can really make a difference sometimes? also make sure load is balanced with heavier stuff to the rear of boat

Yeah Im experiencing the same with the same boat. Mine started chiming at 65MPH it was like a washing machine at that speed. I have a buddy who has his set up doing 71MPH no walk he brought his jack plate up 1.25 inches. I brought mine up 1 3/16 of an inch and now im blowing out on hole shot getting 67.5 MPH when it start wobbling. Its not worth it for me. Im gonna drop mine back down some to try and help the HS. I plugged 2 prop vents and left one with the 3/8 plug.

I thought the new 4 strokes had enough torque that the props don't need to be vented? Try them all plugged up.

i have read where many are venting them for help on the holeshot? power comes on higher up in the power band maybe??

Where did you read that? In general venting props was more for older 2 strokes because the power did come up higher in the power band. But 4 strokes generally don't need to be vented. Did you vent your prop because you had holeshot issues? Or did you start out your testing with it vented? It shouldn't matter once you're on plane anyways, just curious.

Once I get my Mercury 200 v8 on my Falcon I'll be able to report some numbers. I'll be propping it with a 23 Fury and I'm going to start with all the holes plugged up.

    Well guys
I had the dealer raise the jackplate from 4inch to a touch lower than 2.75.

Didnt really seem to affect the walking. Still the same. With all 3 plugs in the prop, I am blowing out when the boat rolls over on plane

You may need to send your prop off and have cup added to the blade tips. I assume you have all the holes filled with solid plugs.
