    2007 Charger 496 pumps?

my bilge pump needs replaced, so I am doing that now. My question is, what are all the pumps for? Here are some pictures. The yellow ones are for the livewell aerators. Yes I have 3 livewells. But what are the red ones for? They go to port in the back top corner of boat? Are they livewell pump out? If so, how do you turn them on?

I assume the proair pumps are in the area behind the middle seat.

So that red valve turns on the pump?

Sounds like what he's talking about is the Flow-Rite Pumpout Aerator. It will be in the livewell.

Still don't understand what the red pumps are for and how you turn them on.

OK, in picture #2, the two red thingys are the drain valves for the livewells. The three yellow ones are pumps. OK I see two red pumps under the battery charger in picture #1. I can't zoom in on those but unless the have hoses attached to the left side, I'm guessing they are the bilge pumps.

They have a hose on both sides, one siide goes out to a port on the side rear of boat like the bilge does. The other end has a hose that goes towards the livewells. That's why I think they are for pump out.

I have removed the bilge pump before I took the picture.

With separate livewells, you should have two fill pumps mounted through the step, two recirculate pumps and if equipped, two pumpouts. Got a buddy with a 596 and I think he's telling me his is like TOC indicated above. So if someone has added pumpout pumps, you opught to have switches somewhere. Looked under the console?

    I will look.
This 496 Has everything on it. Including a livewell up front. Hence 3 yellow pumps.

Pro-Air system. Those pumps pump water from around your cooler then around your livewells to keep the water in them cool.

These exit above the water line at rear of boat like a bilge pump does.

Bilge pump, livewell pumps and Pro Air pumps. That's the only pumps I know about.

It has 2 thru hulls on this side and 1 on the other side. That is where one side of each pump goes to, the 3rd is the bilge

The two red things are the controls for your open and closed livewells. My 196 1983 Charger has them.
