Is anyone here fishing the Johnny Morris US Open on Okeechobee?

Just as the title asks.......I opted not to fish it, and have not heard anyone locally talking about it.

Its going to be a long day Fri, with the mandatory team registrations and Captain meetings. Don't understand why the meetings are in Fort Meyers two hours away!!

Yeah, I doubt I will touch the water Fri, fortunately my partner will arrive tomorrow and give me the low down Fri. ;) And... I agree... what's with the meetings offsite 2 hours away!?

You're fishing a tournament put on by the world's largest tackle shop did you think they wouldn't have you go there? It's a cash grab for them

Not unless you want to wait in line for hours to launch your boat.

Someone posted a video on Facebook. They were blasting off at 3:30 AM in pitch black.

Web casts were on Facebook Live. Boats were launching very very early in the morning. There were no traditional boat flights. Ramps opened at 330am and people were launching and going. The caveat was, lines in were at 630 am.
Many were disappointed and upset at the multiple check in times. Some boats only got to fish til 3pm while others fished til 5pm. That's a huge difference.
