Just curious if anyone is using Lithium batteries for the main engine battery. I have a G2 225 on my 919 and wondering about switching my Group 31 AGM over.

yes and no issues.... one lithium for cranking battery and one lithium for 36vlt TM

Thats impressive speed!!!
What prop are you running to see 77? Is that a 4 stroke or 2 stroke? I’ve seen 77 with my 2 stroke once when I first got it before poles and pretty much no tackle but only 72 tournament loaded.
Running 125aH Ionic lithium on my Merc 4-stroke. No problems so far...

I’ve been running 2 relion HP 100ah in parallel for 200ah total on my rig for cranking and electronics. This past season I put 547 hours on my motor with the lithiums and had no issues. This is on a 2 stroke pro xs. If you get a quality lithium built for cranking the motor and handling the voltage coming back in from the alternator you will have no problems. I’ve tried to start my engine on a normal 100ah rb100 relion not built for cranking the motor and it trips the bms as soon as you try to crank. Which is why you need to buy a battery designed for cranking like the HP series relion has. That battery is specifically designed to be a cranking lithium. Supposedly you can’t run a battleborn as a cranking battery but I haven’t really seen many posts about it. Drew and the ionic battery brand have had countless guys on here purchase their 125ah ionic lithium and have had little to no issues over the past 1 year. Honestly I bet there are over 100 guys that have bought that battery from him. Previous to 2019 or so they had many issues due to the bms but they have made changes and corrected it. I know Jacob wheeler is running Miller tech lithium for his cranking so they more than likely have their bms figured out for cranking applications as well. I’m also in your climate. I fish when it’s below freezing. My last day on the water this year was after Christmas and most of the lake had ice except the main lake and my lithiums in those temps have been perfect. Also my boat was stored outside during these time so it’s not like they were sitting in a warm garage and I pulled it to the ramp and fired the motor. These were outside in below freezing temps for days and then going to the lake and cranking over in a snap.
