Bow Mount for 12" HDS-Live Unit

Have a 2017 Tracker PT 175 TXW. In the process of changing out electronics and trolling motor. Adding a 12" HDS-Live unit at console and bow. Looking at installing a Procise DEK-IT Single Unit Mount over the recessed foot pedal tray. Saw a YouTube video with the same mount on the same boat. That person chose the one w/ the built-in extension for the trolling motor GPS puck.

Anyone running that configuration? Will the "puck" get sufficient coverage or will the Sonar unit block the signal?

    Thanks in advance.

You don't say what trolling motor you are using. At least with the Ghost, the TMC-1 is just a heading sensor. The GPS is in the head of the trolling motor. Pretty sure other motors are like this as well. A good view of the sky is not necessary for a heading sensor. What is important is that there are no magnetic sources near what is essentially an electronic compass.

Yes, the TM is a Ghost (forgot to mention that). Thanks much for the quick response and clarification/explanation
