I have a 2012 Ranger Z-521 boat on which the gas gauge switch light remains on after turning the power off in the boat. It turns off when the master switch in the bilge is turned off. It just yesterday started doing this. Is this something that should be repaired and how is that repair done? I do not have a ranger dealer in close proximity to my home. Thanks in advance for any assistance you may provide.
Others on here may know more but most weird things I have seen with the indicator lights occur when the battery power isn't so good. Low charge state or weak battery near the end of its useful life.

I agree that the issue seems related to one of those uncommon electrical situations. Corrosion? Short-circuit? Or weak battery? Maybe try posting on the electrical/wiring forum as well.
