Edwin Evers Three-Panel Screen

Evers had his screen set up for 3 panels. The left panel was left-looking side imaging; the right panel was right-looking side imaging. The middle panel was down imaging. I have a HDS 12 Gen 3. I tried to set it up this weekend, but never could figure it out. Is it even possible on my older unit?

i know it can be done on a carbon. Im pretty sure i could do it with my old gen 2 touches also

1. create a new screen with three structure panels
2. change panel configuration to three vertical panels
3. change right structure panel view to right sidescan
4. change center panel view to downscan
5. change left structure panel view to left side scan.

Set up a new screen. Pull over si, si, di. Put them in the order you want. Go to left Si and pick left only. Go to right SI and pick right only. Done

I have done that before, but found I like full width for side, so I set it up across the bottom. Leaves the full top for down or a combo

Once I pull the SI icon over and then the DI icon, there is not another SI icon to pull over for the the third panel.

Looks like the Gen 3 only allows 2 structure screens. Sorry for the bad advise

There are 9 down SCAN colors. While you're at it try STACKING them on the PAGE EDITOR.

That's the DI view with a unit with REVEAL feature. Lives have that feature. Just turn it on.

I am thinking the downscan was the brown palette 6 and the 2-D was the classic palette 13. 2-D transducer was a skimmer mounted on the jackplate (switchable with the inside 2-D). Based on the color return in P13, the large fish might have been catfish.

I can be done in gen 3 as well, set both units up and change view to down, left or right. I was following Buddy Gross on facebook when he got first when on Pickwick in FLW tour, at the time he was using gen3. He had side scan to the left side of screen , chart upper right corner and sonar lower right corner. On right unit he did the same, except he reversed his views and I think he used DI in lower left corner, below chart screen.
