    Live well drain

    2017 zx225,
looking for the live well drain plugs. I have one plug but two separate drains in the livewell and loose water
when running around the lake. Thanks

Odds are you either have debris in the valve or the flappers are worn out

Either way your better of disassembling the valves and replacing the seals and flappers

They are Flow Rite vales and they sell seal kits

The water is running out the overflow I believe, when water is rough or getting in plane. I think the valve is working properly, it’s 2 holes at the top of the livewell.

Most local hardware stores will have rubber plugs that will fit in the hole

I have a set for the very same reason

I used weed trimmer string and cable crimps to mount them in the livewell hanging next to the overflow so I just reach in grab it and stuff it in the overflow

Boats in storage or I would post a pic

for each livewell you need the following

    2 plastic P clips
2 cable crimps/sleeves (Aluminum) Size of trimmer string
    1 - 12” long plastic trimmer string
    2 aluminum screws

Here is a quick diagram to give you an idea of what I did
